Teeth whitening gel containing peroxide can be very harmful to your gums and teeth as the gel penetrates into the enamel, which might cause sensitivity and can burn soft tissues. Smile Center only use peroxide-free products that have been tested and proven to be 100% safe by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of America and they have no side effects.
No, because we only use non-peroxide gel, our treatment is safe, painless and sensitivity is unlikely to occur.
For most people, the results will last between 1 to 3 months. Exposure to dark beverage and foods like coffee/tea, tobacco, red wine, soy sauce and other stain-producing agents darken teeth over time. Age, genetics, and general hygiene also have an effect on your results longevity. We recommend purchasing our Clean & White Toothpaste to offset any natural staining that occurs in the months following your treatment.
The results are immediate and can vary between 2 to 10 shades whiter.
Teeth whitening treatment is not recommended for:
- Pregnant and breastfeeding women
- People under the age of 18
- People under radiation therapy treatment
- People allergic to any of the following substances: Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Sodium Perborate
- People that have had braces removed in the last 6 months
- People with untreated cavities, dental fissure or gum problems
You may consult your dentist for a check-up prior to a treatment if you have any doubt related to the health of your teeth.
Natural teeth are porous and therefore absorb staining agents. Artificial teeth are non-porous; so do not stain over time. It is important to note that artificial teeth will be cleaned but will not whiten with a treatment. However, if the natural teeth are more yellow than your artificial teeth, you are the perfect candidate for a whitening treatment, as the result is a better match to your crowns, bonding or veneers.
No, we are not affiliated with a dentist, nor is licensing required for our treatments, as they are considered as cosmetic treatments.
Dentists use hydrogen peroxide in high percentage to whiten the teeth. This is a product that must be handled with extreme care and only by medical specialists to avoid damaging the enamel of the teeth and the gums. At Smile Center we use non-peroxide gel, which cannot harm your teeth or your gums because there is no penetration of the gel into the enamel. Our results might not be as long lasting as in a dentist office, however you will see immediate results with no pain, no sensitivity and at a very affordable price.
We recommend eating prior a teeth whitening treatment, as you can only drink still water for the first 4 hours following a treatment.
The 4 hours following a treatment are essential to guarantee its efficiency, because the gel is still active in your mouth. During this time, we strongly recommend only still water consumption and no smoking. For the following 20 hours avoid if possible all kinds of dark beverage and foods (soft drink, red wine, coffee/tea, soy sauce, beetroot, etc).
